K-5 Coding

Coding at Villa Academy

All K-5 grade students participated in the worldwide event, “Hour of Code” in December. We began our coding unit, by discussing how code is used in our world and its importance. Concepts in computational thinking including sequencing, decomposition, pattern recognition, and algorithms are taught with coding using the following websites.
